Support Uvindu Kalana
Uvindu Kalana’s father says,
Our son Uvindu Kalana was born in April 2016 with a severe deformity in his right foot. At the advice of the doctors in the Lady Ridgeway hospital, the deformed part was amputated, so that he can walk with a prosthesis. When he began to stand on one leg, the Meththa Foundation provided him artificial limbs. Now he is 10 years old and needs regular replacements of his artificial limbs. I am employed as a driver earning a small wage and my wife is a house wife. We do not qualify for state benefits. I would appreciate help to obtain prostheses for him.
Comment from the Meththa Foundation.
Uvindu Kalana needs a new prosthesis every year because he is growing. He is a bright kid and with support, he will lead a normal life. The cost of a new prosthesis will be around Rs 45-50,000
