Duminda’s story.

He is a below knee amputee who is well rehabilitated within a few months of getting a prosthesis.  Here is his story.

I am Duminda. I live in Akuressa.  I came to Balapitiya Centre to get a leg in May 25 through the Athuraliya Mobile Service.  I worked as a Manual Labourer and lost his my because of a diabetic infection.  I could not work initially but now, after getting a prosthesis,I work in a vegetable shop.   The artificial leg helped me to regain my livelihood and earn a living.
